I would like to share with you a most postive expierence in regards to our long and arduous search and ultimate recent home purchase in the Myrtle Beach area.
My wife Maryann and I have been searching for a retirement home for the past two to three years. We looked in South Florida for some time and eventually stopped looking to enjoy a weeks' vacation at our North Myrtle Beach time shre condo. It was nice to be back in MB after a lot of years as we frequented the area on many occasions during my long stint at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina in the 80s.
After a few days of beuatiful weather and enjoying the people (Southern Hospitality is alive and well in SC) we decided to expand our search to this area as well. We randomly called a realtor and arranged to view some properties. The agent was helpful but did not appear truly committed to our needs and concerns. We made a second call to a different realtor and spoke with Diana Barth. From the get go we knew she was committed to us and would stop at nothing to ensure our satisfaction. Diana immediatley made us feel welcome, important and not like a number or possible commission. We looked at numerous properties over the next few days. Diana was extremely helpful and went completely above the call to assist us in this endeavor. We eventually selected a home on Sanctuary Drive, Conway and headed back to Connecticut. We maintained contact with Diana as this Short Sale process continued for many months. Eventually, we did not purchase this home but were still truly committed to the area and knew, with Diana's help. we would eventually find our returement home.
Diana sent us our deposit back immediately and continuously sent us updated listings of available properties to view. We eventually located a property we were interested in. Knowing we had support in MB (Diana), my wife Maryann flew down to the following day, Diana, with no advance notice, picked her up at the airport and did a showing of 489 Quails Ct Longs SC. We fell in love with this golf community home and immediately made in offer. Our offer was accepted, which began the LONG distance home purchasing headaches with the financial institution, numerous telephone calls, home insurance, etc. We are so thankful to have had Diana as a go between. With her tremendous help, this home buying experience was completed without stress or aggravation. Diana has continued to remain by our side and has assisted in numerous ways throughout this process. We are proud to say that on September 27,2011 we closed on 489 Quails Ct. two days later we r3eceived our keys and a nice card from Diana.
We have never met Diana Barth prior to this but feel we have known her for years. She is our first and best friend in South Carolina and we hope to maintain this closemess once we relocate permanently in the near future
(I remember when we first met her she told us she was always available to her customers anytime, weekend or whatever. This is very true as we learned 1st hand)
